We have been to the riverfront in Grand Ledge, Michigan many times. We have always been fascinated by the rock textures in varied lights and seasons. Here are a few of them.

The rock faces are covered with the most amazing colors, as a result of lichen growth.
The strata of history, as uncovered by the glaciers and the river
We were amazed to see this tree straddling the edge of the cliff.
Sometimes the colors are more subtle, but no less beautiful. Inscriptions from past decades are not uncommon.
